New Line of Urban Clothing Created by Ex-Con to Launch at Las Vegas Trade Show
Hyannis, MA (PRWeb) February 8, 2007 -- Ex-con Dan Longyear is proud to announce the upcoming launch of his new line of urban wear, County Jale Clothing, www.countyjale.com. The clothing line will debut at the Magic Marketplace, Booth #33212, at the Las Vegas Convention Center February 13-16.
"My clothing line comes as a result of a lot of hard-learned mistakes, the support of people I love and a very necessary sense of humor," says Dan Longyear. "I want to be very clear, my clothes are not about glorifying a life of crime, but to promote Freedom, dialogue and discussion regarding our justice and corrections systems and to show that turning lives around is as simple as making a decision to do so. It is all about Freedom in all forms…"
The idea for the clothing line came to Dan Longyear while he was serving time for O.U.I.. Longyear looked at the men around him in orange jumpsuits with the words "Property of County Jail" stenciled on their backs and it dawned on him that clothes inspired by jail attire and experiences might just fly on the outside and could at the same time be a mirror to what really goes on inside.
Mr. Longyear was released into the Community Corrections program on electronic monitoring but was not allowed to work for his own company. He removed himself from the Corporation to comply with the directive given but was returned to County Jail the day after the web site originally launched in January 2006. He spent another 10 months in jail, all the while awaiting the day he could be free to fulfill his dream. "I want everyone to realize how important our personal and civil freedoms are and how we must fight for what we believe in." said Mr. Longyear
The County Jale line is designed to be worn by both sexes. At Magic Marketplace, County Jale will debut new denim jackets and jeans, hoodies and tees including additional women's wear.
The following items can be ordered now on the website:
Men's and Women's Tees
Full Zip Hoodies
Pullover Hoodies
Trucker Caps
All can be ordered in Innocent Orange and Bad Boy Black
While County Jale clothing definitely pokes humor at being locked up, founder Dan Longyear is very serious about giving back. To that end, he is setting up the County Jale Network and Canteen Fund, to help people stay out of jail and to help those just getting out. County Jale invites people to join The Posse and contribute to the County Jale Network just by believing in the message and the mission.
A 50 state resource network is being set up to help in the following areas:
* Legal information regarding civil, criminal, probate and family court proceedings. What to expect and how to prepare.
* Educational information. Links to institutes of higher learning, trade and technical schools, Job Corp, Military, JTEC, government and private tuition assistance programs.

African American Online Dating Services
Together Dating Services: Most senior online dating sites allow you to post a personals ad for other like minded people to check out. In an informal setting, speed dating originated with Jewish individuals who were looking to find prospective spouses in areas where there was a large non-Jewish community. This was arranged in a meet and greet fashion where a large number of individuals could mingle and get to know one another. In a formal arena, speed dating is set up by organizers such as dating agencies that rent out a room in a bar or restaurant type setting and arrange for a group of individuals to pay a fee and attend. The individuals will then have approximately 8 minutes to sit at a table with a prospective mate and basically chat. Wh...
